Hi Everyone!
I have put together a card for our little blog group challenge... The challenge was to use non traditional colors to create a valentine card. So here is my humble submission and the inspiration behind it.
First for the inspiration:
Allow me to introduce Geddy, the wonder cat. He is really a treasure, and saved us from a broken heart after we lost our beloved Scotia. But he is into everything...He is 8 months old, and he is everywhere, constantly getting into trouble... Many have asked me about his name. He is named for Geddy Lee the bassist and lead singer for the band Rush. Keith is a diehard fan of thiers, and he chose his name, and it just fits. He looks a lot like Sylvester the cat, but just imagine a dust cloud following him everywhere, similar to Pigpen from Peanuts. I do adore him, but the kitten stage is tough.
So Geddy is the inspiration for the card I made for Keith for Valentine's Day from Geddy & me...
A few of my favorite things are incorporated into this card...The Stamps both the cat and the hearts are from Stamps by Judith, I just love her stuff. The paper is by Making Memories-I think as the gingham and the black were from my scrap bin. The white is a piece of vellum, brads by Stampin Up! Image colored using Prismacolor Pencils, and of course the hearts were Stickled. The bow tie is gingham ribbon, I always have on hand.
Hope you enjoy!
Adorable! I'm still trying to figure out what my nontraditional colors will be:(
