Sunday Crafting- Coasters from tiles & photos

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to turn over a new leaf and post something every week. Sorry, I have been way too busy... This weeks project does not involve any stamping, but it shows a fun project to make coasters using 4 x 4 ceramic tiles and photographs.

Supplies Needed:

4 x 4 Travertine Ceramic Tile- available in boxes of 8-10 tiles for approx $7 at Home Depot- try and get the least pitted you can.

Modge Podge- Gloss finish glue

Foam brush

Tissue paper

8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock

Paper Trimmer

Removable adhesive

Newspaper

Karen Foster- 12 x 12 Adhesive Cork Sheets

E-6000 Glue

The most difficult part of this project is printing your photos onto the tissue paper. I have found that cutting the tissue paper down to 8 1/2 x 11 and adhereing it to a sheet of cardstock at the top and bottom, helps in guiding it through your printer, and for trimming. I hold the tissue and the cardstock together as I trim down the photos after they are printed. I then discard the cardstock.

As I say in the video, drying is key. I hope you enjoy!

Have a creative week!

Techniques Class Cards

Hi Everyone!

I know, long time , no post...I am so busy! I did want to post a quick video which shows a few cards I made today following Techniques class from my scraps. Thanks ladies for coming by and learning the techniques. I really enjoy this class series, and I hope you all do too!

In todays class two of the techniques we learned were: 1. Dahlia folded flowers, and 2. Glitter lace background, both were fun, but I am still covered in glitter!

All supplies used in the cards were Stampin Up!, except as indicated. The lace and sticker paper used to create the lace background- Sticker paper is by Therm-O-Web, lace I bought at JoAnn's out of the remnant bin.
Glitter- Stampin Up-Taken with Teal, and Ranger-Clear
Cardstock- Taken with Teal, WHisper White
Ink-Taken with Teal
Ribbon- Tempting Turquoise
Butterfly Punch- Martha Stewart

Dahlia Folded Flower Card- All products used are by Stampin Up except leaf-by Prima.

Card Stock- Rose Red, Whisper White
Designer Paper- Rsapberry Twist
Ribbon- Rose Red
Ink- Rose Red

Both sentiments are from the Sincere Salutations stamp set.

Hope you enjoy!

Wishing you creative days,
