Vintage Gas Pump- Completed Project

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having an enjoyable holiday season! I am fortunate to have a little time off from work and I am in NJ at home instead of in San Francisco. I am extremely grateful.
 Back on Black Friday, Kathy Orta-Files, Paper Phenomenon , had a huge sale! I have followed her for years and years, and was really thrilled to be able to purchase a few of the tutorials. I purchased the Vintage Gas Pump tutorial, to create this for my hubby Keith as his last name is Filling. Get it? Filling Station, Gas Pump...(insert cymbal crash here....)

 I purchased the trinket kit from Kathy as well for the findings. I used Tim Holtz's Lost and Found Paper Stash, ( my fav!) and kraft card stock. My distress ink color choice was Vintage Photo. Can you believe after 20 years hubby got me some ink for Christmas? I was so proud of him.... He got me a new Vintage Photo pad..lol.

In the video I talk about a contest, well I was late to the party, submissions had ended by the time I completed this. Kindly ignore the mentions of the contest.

Tealight Christmas Ornaments

Hello Friends,

I had a day to craft and due to some great tutorials on the Snowman from several YouTube Stampin Up Demonstrators, I ran with it. I have made so far 12 Snowmen, 5 Santas, and 6 Reindeer. Love this project because I had all the supplies!

Video is lengthy, but I had fun. Check out your punches and see what you can come up with. This is an easy to do stocking stuffer for a co worker, teacher , or friend. I have also seen a pin back attached to the tea light and then worn as a pin.
I am back on the road soon, so I am trying to get all my crafting completed.

Happy Fall... back to crafting...

 Hi Everyone,

Been a really long time since I posted, and I have no excuse other than I had a very busy summer with my job.  I have been back crafting since Labor Day, and I have been having fun with several tutorials from a few favorite folks over on YouTube. You really need to go check out Papercrafter45. Her tutorials are very easy to follow, and the projects are super fun. I have made several of her Skinny Mini's and now I have moved on to the Triple Library Pocket with fold out, which I have turned into a rubber band book or 2 or 3! This can be done with some simple cardstock and a stack as small as 6x6.

I have also been fortunate to participate in a monthly card swap, with the Maryland girls. This week I finished up my cards for the remainder of the year, and made a book described above as a hostess gift. I also took a short road trip to a stamp show down in Westminster , Maryland a few weeks ago. It was so great to see Martha, Nancy Deb and Diane. I also got to enjoy Dar's company on the trip as well. I got lots of inspiration, so stay tuned for some upcoming projects...

Secret Sister Box Swap... Round 3!!!

Hello! Ok girls and guys, back by popular demand.... the secret sister box swap. I hope you will join in, and have as much fun as we have in past rounds.

 Here is what you make: Create a box or alter a box in a style your partner will like. It can be any size, just remember you have to mail it. We have had boxes as small as a old school Cricut box or as large as a shoebox, it is up to you. You may alter and existing box, or make your own. The box itself should be decorated in a manner pleasing to your partner. You then fill the box with 50% handmade items, and 50 % stash or store bought. If you want to do all handmade, that is fine. You may not do less than 50% handmade.
Your sister does not have you in the swap. This is a pay it forward type deal. You get one person to make things for. I reserve the right to disqualify sign ups for lack of information disclosure, past swap performance, or general bad behavior. I am trying to give as much time as possible to allow for as many who want to join to do so.
 If you would like to join the swap you have until July 4, 2013 to sign up. I will Distribute sisters by July 9, 2013. You then may set about creating your box, or stalking your sister until August 16, 2013. Remember, this is a SECRET swap. Do not tell your person who you have, or exchange sister details, it ruins the surprise. I will have your personal details and so will your assigned sister. This swap is open to international participants. By joining, you agree to mail your created box internationally if your sister is from abroad. Remember Postage is up to you. I require an e-mail telling me when you posted your box to your sister. International mailing times can take a long time, so please plan ahead.

Featured Artists in February... Day 3

Hello Friends! Well I am on day 6 of this horrible flu. I still am feeling pretty poorly, but there are so many great people to tribute, I wanted to get back to it!

 Todays Featured Artist is.... Anne! xannero1 !!! Many of us, have marveled at Anne's creations on her blog and You Tube channel. She is extremely talented, and has a steam punk influenced style, which she loves, but her designs are so incredible, they have to be seen to be believed. Most recently she did a storage cabinet, out of chipboard and Tim Holtz goodness....

We interrupt this series for the flu....

Hi Everyone!

 Sorry to inform you that I have taken ill with the flu....again.

 This round seems to be really bad, I have not made it out of bed since Sunday afternoon at 4pm. I managed to go to work on Monday , and made it until about 12:30PM. Came home had a nap until my doctor's appointment at 3:30pm, where I received a Z-pack of antibiotics, and some cough medicine, that really makes me sleep.

 I have been in bed, since 5pm on Monday. I hope to be up and about by Thursday, but you never know how these things will sort out. I have no voice, and really feel as though a truck has run me over, backed up and hit me again.

 I so enjoy this series, but it does take some prep, and I am in no shape to record videos.

 I will see you all later in the week, God willing.

Featured Artists in February... Day 2

Hey there Everyone!

 Hope you enjoyed Day 1, I really liked sharing Felicia's great spirit and talent.

 So, to keep it interesting, Some of my Artist's that I feature will be the old tribute style, as in they do not even know.

I would like to tell you about a gal I found on YouTube under the Channel......MySister'sScrapper...Her name is Ginger.
 I found myself glued to her most recent video how to series, for the Vertical Paper Bag mini album. I made one from start to finish tonight, and I was really impressed that she took the time to make 6 video's all of about 15 plus minutes long.

She is a very patient and excellent teacher, so if you are interested in Mini albums with lots of interaction, check out her channel! Ginger is also a designer for Cardz TV with Mary, and makes some great cards. I love her clean style and how she incorporates a lot of elements, such as die cuts and stamps and fancy backgrounds.

 Ginger's blog says she has been scrapbooking for a long time and enjoys making pages of her grandchildren. Her latest obsession is her mini books, and I have to agree, they sure are fun.
